Successful Senior Night, Wolves take it to the Beavah, Beavahs Really this Time

Thanks to Amber Shurtliff for taking these great shots of the Seniors being honored.

The next pics are shots of some great moments from our last home game and senior night. Coach Smith had come from a funeral service in Hawaii with lei's for the mother's of our seniors. The service was for our Grandpa George Aiona. The only picture that George had hung on his wall at the care center was of our team. The Christmas card. The boys each kissed their moms as is tradition. There is nothing more special than the relationship between mother and son. These moms are the best and so are there 'babies'!
"The most important profession in the world is parenting. The second is teaching, and everyone is a teacher to someone." -Coach John Wooden-
Shawn T looks at his plaque honoring him from the school and administration.

I don't think I punched Troy tonight. I will have to make up for that.....
Lance giving his mother a kiss!
Bobbie and his mom Stephanie.
Travis kisses Audrey his wonderful mother. Jeff looks like a pretty proud dad too.

Ryan Jones escorts his angel mother Linda to center court.

Kevin and his parents Dee Dee and Randall Holt.

Kyle hugs and kisses his mama while Keith doesn't even fight the tears.
Kyle West. Keith told me he had been proud of his children since the day they were born. He he hugs them everyday. I believe. It was a highlight for me to see these great sons and their proud parents. When I think how Larry and I feel about these men and how proud we are of them, we can't even imagine how proud their parents feel.
Captains Kyle and Lance gave me a lei too. I was so happy!
I love my boys! This was one of the best moments of my life. Thanks to you awesome parents for sharing your boys. You are all blessings to Larry and me.
We present these great pillow cases and blankets. Thanks to Leah Laub for starting this great tradition.

Senior Managers, and Koden we thank you.
These blankets made by Audrey Colf are gorgeous. Each senior was given a pillowcase they all signed for each other and the blankets have the names and numbers embroidered. The idea being that the great experiences and friendships will always be a comfort and bring back great memories. Memories of hard work, great fun and success.
Seniors have their names called one more time at home on our floor.

Kevin is so fast he tips the ball twice before the other guy knows what to think.
Kevin gets the jump with his deftly quick hands. Kyle and Ryan look like Sumo wrestlers on opposite sides of the jump.
What is going on here? The next shot is a close up.
Talk about going for the jugular. This was a no call by the way. Nada, zip, no call........
Roberto slashed in for the two. Bueno Roberto, Bueno.
Nice try Gurr, nice try.
Lance is very successful with his 14 footers.
Shawn T from his "saweet" spot.
Fantastic Fans!
This guy is a true Champion! Way to go Colby. (sorry if I mispelled your name) 50 and 0 and two time state wrestling champ. Number one in his weight from1A to 5A. He goes to Virginia to Nationals. Anyone who can help sponser to make his trip possible contact the high school.
Shawn T in traffic. Travis is ready for the rebound. Kevin is making sure it all happens.
Ryan Jones had a great game on both ends tonight. Lance has already boxed out his guy.
Coach gives direction to Snickers. Coach Smith has a word with Travis. He is saying, "I am really looking forward to your Shania Kareoke." Travis is saying, "Oh, me too, you're gonna love it!"
Lance stole the ball and went on the break away
Officially number one! Region Champeens second year running.
Last Haka at home! Love it!

"We don't have to be superstars or win championships.... All we have to do is learn to rise to every occasion, give our best effort, and make those around us better as we do it."
-John Wooden-
These boys have already done what really matters. Now let's go get icing on the cake and take state.

  2. Great post for the Senior boys. I feel bad I couldn't be there to see the honors before the game. I am thrilled with how awesome this blog is Stacie! These boys really are an excellent bunch of young men. Larry is doing a fine job. On to SUU for 1st round and then to State Tourny!
