Wolves win Cowboys.

Well I took some fantastic pictures of the game Friday night and all of a sudden my camera card won't be read by any computer! Aaaagh. Technology is so great until it doesn't work. I am having an expert look at the card tomorrow to see if he can find the pictures and save them.
Our guys played tough. They will never give up and they are all heart and hustle as always.
.....We love our team!

Region Play has begun, Wolves beat Parowan. (it rhymes)

The Wolves beat Parowan tonight in their first region game at home. Everyone contributed. It was a true team win. I took this picture because of the tremendous example. Bishop Bud, Zinger and Slick. They kept hat and hands over their hearts until the flag had left the gym. Thanks
Kevin is too quick on the jump!

West bros on D
Roberto! He puts in twooooo! So great to have the go ahead!
Our Wolverines can can! We love them.

Lance Gardner was tremendous. Even with Abbot and Costello.
44 was waiting to pounce.
This shot went in for Kyle but it should have been given a charity chance as we can see.
So great to have Robert suited up! Wahoo!
Ryan Jones for another lay up. He is all out hustle and hard work all the time!
Sofie took this shot of Travis. He nailed two at the line. I was really proud! Shawn T # 5. played so well offensively and on D.
Ellie took this picture of Kevin at the line. His little sisters are her teammates in the Jr. Wolfpack program.

We love our cheer leaders. They are a tremendous boost. It was fantastic to have the pep band tonight as well. Thanks

Kevin Holt took it to the hoop in the second half

Great game guys, you deserve the rest.

My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Haiti as I am sure yours are. What an extremely difficult time for a country that has already been through so much of tragedy. S

Virgin Valley vs. EHS Wolves

Jr. Wolf Pack started this past Saturday. J. Gardner shows off our cool new man-bag.
Shake hands and get down to business.

Kevin is the Jedi with the Jump ball. He get's it once again.

Lance for the lay in.
Lance with the jumper.

Lance hustles for two more.

OK I really like this next series of pics. You can see Kyle throw forward to Ryan Jones.....

Ryan catches and drives in....

up, up, and.....
extend and in! Two points.
Now, right back on Defense.

Kevin Holt for two. Kevin brought down nine rebounds in the game!

So fast it's in a blur.

Lance under pressure.
Shawn Truman got his groove back and played a big time game.

Kyle ices the game from the line. What was the crowd chanting?
Hard fought, good win.
Alright, let the season begin.

Pre-season is officially done!

Last night we beat a very good Virgin Valley team in Mesquite Nevada to finish our preseason play.
It really was a fun game to watch. Of course hindsight is 20/20. During the game it was easy to get excited and feel like an ulcer is coming on. I was grateful for Cheryl Lyn Farnsworth (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) who called my name as I was down on the floor taking pictures and said, "smile Stacie". It put perspective back into my life!
It also got me to thinking about what "Team" means. Without question we have a great 'team'. The best part about our team is that they are much better people than they are basketball players. That is saying something for sure. Having said that, it broadens the horizon and expands the meaning of 'team'. It expands to coaches, parents, teachers, friends, fans, boosters, past players, neighbors, community and church advisers. (I'm sure I have missed someone) It really is an all encompassing mass of individuals and groups that have created and are apart of our 'team'. Thank You. Thank you all for your investment of time, positive energy, resources etc. Thanks for the 'team effort'! Something special is going on.
Stacie
PS when we were in Richfield I was taking pictures and a man asked me which one was mine. I told him all of them! I think that's how we all feel!

Happy New Year!

How to Be a Champion
by Grantland Rice

You wonder how they do it,
You look to see the knack,
You watch the foot in action,
Or the shoulder or the back.

But when you spot the answer
Where the higher glamours lurk,
You'll find in moving higher
Up the laurel-covered spire,
That most of it is practice,
And the rest of it is work.

Lincoln County

Lance and the tango with "Rippetoe".

The Trip to Lincoln County was good. Really good Lessons were learned. The J.V. won their game. The Varsity played their guts out but came up short. Below is a picture of Travis' good side. The other side received a pretty deep slice. I only reminded him of his advice to Ryan Jones in Richfield. "Chicks dig scars!"

Kyle for two. He keeps telling me he will show me he can dunk.

Ryan slices and dices to the hole.
Kevin Holt got the tip again. He ended up giving all the fouls he had to give in the game. He swears he only had four.

Who is that Santa?
