In a text exchange after the game, Jake Jones said how he wished he could have been there with his team mates. His heart was and I told him he will be the secret weapon when we meet them at home.
Down 2 with under a minute left, Justins' dish to Connor who just nailed the shot was absolutely beautiful. The team showed the confidence they have in each other. Toughness, tenacity, heart and hustle. I talked to Marv Hall after the game. He said that this game was one of his top 10 in all his years of supporting Enterprise teams.

WOLVES 49, RAMS 48
Prisbrey’s 27 lead Enterprise past Parowan

PAROWAN — When it comes to strong offensive performers, Enterprise senior Justin Prisbrey ranks near the top of the list.
Prisbrey had his usual strong scoring effort, then delivered the assist that helped put the Wolves in the win column again.
Connor Phelps took a pass from Prisbrey and hit the goahead 3-pointer with less than 20 seconds remaining as Enterprise held on for a thrilling 49-48 win over the Parowan Rams at the PHS gym on Friday night.
The Wolves moved to the top of the Region 13 standings at 4-0 (11-5 overall) by a full game over the Rams thanks largely to a double-double from Prisbrey of 27 points — 16 in the first half — and 10 rebounds.
Phelps gave Prisbrey full credit for making the key pass when it mattered.
“They’d been keying on Justin all night, double- and tripleteaming him,” said Phelps, who finished with five points. “I went to an open spot, Justin had his eyes up, and made a good pass.
“He’s always making sure he makes the smart play.”
After Parowan (3-1, 11-4) called a timeout, they got the ball inside to Caleb Murphy (12 points), but he never got a clean shot off with three Enterprise defenders surrounding him. When the final horn sounded, the Wolves fans exalted and the team could let out a big sigh of relief.
“It’s always exciting having these close region games,” Phelps said. “They had tight defense and forced us into a lot of turnovers.”
Enterprise never had a lead larger than seven points throughout the night in a packed Parowan gym and kept it most of the way. The Rams were able to use a 7-0 run late in the second quarter to take a 28-24 lead, but Isaac Wallin stopped it with a 3-pointer and helped the Wolves close the gap to 29-27 at the break.
Enterprise opened the third quarter with a 9-0 run and held Parowan to just a single basket from Jake Smith in the period as they took a 38-31 lead to the fourth.
After Prisbrey hit two free throws to give the Wolves a 44-41 lead, the Rams countered with a 7-0 run of their own capped by an inside bucket from Tristan Adams that made it 48-44 with 2:24 remaining.
Following another Prisbrey inside hoop, Jake Topham missed the front end of a 1and-1 free-throw situation. Prisbrey drove the lane, made the pass, and Phelps was able to turn it into the game-winning shot.
“We were looking for Justin. He had done great all night,” Enterprise coach Larry Shurtliff said of his team’s final possession. “All of our guards are good shooters, and Connor drained a wide-open look. We just had to play defense without fouling them, and that can be hard sometimes.”
The Wolves did just enough to keep the officials from blowing their whistles and they walked away with the win.
Shurtliff said he’s looking forward to the return meeting with Parowan at home Feb. 12, the penultimate game before the 2A playoffs begin.
“They’ll come to our place and they’ll be ready,” Shurtliff said. “Anyone in this region can upset someone. It’s a tight race and the (playoff) seedings will matter.”
Three of the Wolves’ four region wins have been by a combined eight points.

Phelps' 3-pointer leads Wolves past Rams

As the Rams led 48-46 with 52 seconds left in the game, senior Jake Topham went to the free-throw line for a one-and-one situation. The first shot fell short, but was rebounded by the Wolves. Justin Prisbrey (game-high 27 points) attempted to win the game as he drove the lane, but as he was double-teamed under the basket he kicked the ball out top to a wide open Connor Phelps, who drained his ninth trey of the season.
The Wolves snagged a 49-48 lead that would not be relinquished.
“We are comfortable with any of our guards hitting the three,” said Enterprise head coach Larry Shurtliff. “Connor just happened to be in the right place at the right time.”
Parowan inbounded the ball and proceeded to call a timeout to set up the final play with 15 seconds left. The Wolves pressured the Rams as the Rams got the ball in the key to Jake Murphy with three seconds left. His shot against a swarming defensive attack fell short at the final buzzer.
“We didn’t want to put them (Parowan) on the line to win it,” Shurtliff added. “If they were going to win it, they would do it with a good shot, which our defense did not allow.”
Enterprise opened up the third quarter outscoring Parowan 11-2, to open up their biggest lead of the night with a 38-31 lead.
The Rams fought back in the fourth quarter as sophomore Brennan Rowley scored eight of his team-high 13 points in the quarter to cut the Wolves lead to 44-43 with four minutes left in the game.
A free throw and a bucket by Murphy, as well as a bucket by Tristan Adams, gave the Rams a 48-44 lead with 1:49 remaining. The Rams made their first five shots from the field on their way to a 17-6 run, before a bucket by Prisbrey cut the lead to 48-46, before the assist from Prisbrey to Phelps to finish the game.
“Our preseason games prepared us for hostile environments,” said Shurtliff, of the raucous full house crowd. “We just need to hold serve in our home to win region now.”
The Wolves outshot the Rams from the field, 58 to 38 percent.
